cory dalyCory Daly is the founder and CEO of Thrive Bookkeeping and Tax Services Ltd.  Established in 2019, Thrive Bookkeeping and Tax Services Ltd was strives to meet the accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services needs of small to medium-sized enterprises (SME) in Canada.  Cory saw a need for a more comprehensive service that was not currently provided by the accounting, bookkeeping, and income tax preparation community. The firm was established to fill this void and to provide business owners and individuals with the tools and infrastructure to meet their ever-changing needs.

Cory was raised in Regina Saskatchewan and is the oldest of 3 children.  He attended the University of Regina where he completed a 4-year Bachelor of Arts Degree.  He spent 11 years working for the Government of Saskatchewan working with youth in a custody facility, adult inmates in a correctional center and lastly as an Income Security Worker for the Ministry of Social Services.  Over his 10 plus year career in government, Cory gained invaluable communication and analytical skills which would eventually lead him to a career in Finance where he has operated his own financial service company called Daly Financial Group Inc.  Cory currently maintains a license to provide financial products and services in Saskatchewan.

In 1996, Cory entered the financial services industry as a mutual fund and life insurance licensed advisor.  Over the next 13 years, Cory focused on gaining credentials to better serve his clients and the general public.  Cory earned the CFP® designation in 1997 and moved on to additional designations including the CLU, CHS, and TEP programs of study.  Although Cory no longer maintains his designations, he proudly displays his accomplishments on his wall as a testament to his commitment to ongoing education in the field of financial and tax planning for Canadians.  Cory’s clients are primarily business owners and high net-worth individuals.  Cory is in the process of completing a diploma in bookkeeping from The Knowledge Bureau Inc (www.knowledgebureau.com) and is working towards an MBA in Finance through the Edinburgh Business School – Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh Scotland (www.ebsglobal.net).

Community service is an important part of Cory’s value system.  St. John Ambulance, Cadet Division was an important part of Cory’s childhood.  From 1986 until 2001, Cory volunteered with St. John Ambulance and invested over 10,000 hours as a volunteer.  In 1997, Cory was admitted to the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John in Jerusalem (Order of St. John) at the Grade of Serving Brother (SBStJ).  In addition, Cory spent time working with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Victim Services Unit in Regina.  Recently, Cory has joined Rotary – Eastview Club where he hopes to give back through the many local and international volunteer opportunities.

Cory has experience working with restaurant owners, retail, wholesale and manufacturing companies, and many other industries.  Cory understands the business of business.  Cory has unique planning strategies to help you minimize tax, manage costs, and increase the profitability of your company.   As well, Cory can help you and your family plan your personal finances and minimize your personal tax bill.  Naturally, Cory’s financial planning and accounting skillset are a natural fit for anyone looking for comprehensive advice that is not just “based on the numbers”.  Thinking outside of the box is something that you will come to value when working with Thrive Bookkeeping and Tax Services Ltd.  We invite you to contact us to discuss your accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services needs.
